Phu Quoc: Pearl of the North – Basket Boats, Pearl Farm & Starfish Beach

A group tour of northern Phu Quoc – nature, history, pearl farming and Starfish Beach in one day. The program starts with a basket boat ride and Vietnamese phin-filter coffee, continues to the temple of national hero Nguyen Trung Truc, Ngoc Hien Pearl Farm and a seafood lunch in a fishing village, and ends with two hours at Starfish Beach. 

Program:

• 08:00–08:30 Hotel pick-up from central and northern Phu Quoc hotels. Departure with guide to the north of the island.
• 09:00 Basket boat ride: about one hour on traditional Vietnamese basket boats – a leisurely water stroll and photos. The guide serves aromatic Vietnamese phin-filter coffee on board.
• 10:15 Nguyen Trung Truc Temple (Cua Can): temple dedicated to the national hero (1838–1868), leader of the resistance against French colonisers. Guide narrates the history of his partisan movement and Vietnam's struggle for independence in the 19th century. Approximately 30 minutes.
• 11:00 Arrival at the northern sea port.
• 11:15 Ngoc Hien Pearl Farm: learn how Phu Quoc's famous pearls are cultivated. Approximately 30–60 minutes.
• 12:00 Lunch in a fishing village: seafood lunch by the water. Approximately 30–40 minutes.
• 13:00–15:00 Starfish Beach: two hours for swimming, relaxing and photos on the tropical shore. Starfish are observed in their natural habitat – left in the water, not lifted or moved.
• 15:00–16:00 End of tour, transfer back to hotel.
